Father William Wainio is a Priest of the Catholic Diocese of Youngstown where he serves as the Diocesan Director of Vocations and the Chaplain for the Youngstown State University Newman Center.

Easter is Canceled?

William Wainio is a seminarian studying for the Catholic Diocese of Youngstown. He is currently in the formation program at St Mary Seminary and Graduate School of Theology in Cleveland Ohio.

In addition to studies, William has been the guest speaker and leader of prayer at events with the Boy Scouts of America, and The Boardman Kiwanis Club. He has served as the retreat leader for the freshman class at Ursuline High School in Youngstown, Ohio.

He continues to be involved in his local community volunteering as an advisor with the Mahoning County Junior Fair Board and a board member of the Mahoning County Youth Agricultural Committee and the First Friday Club of Greater Youngstown. William graduated from John Carroll University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Philosophy and minors in Sociology and Religious Studies. He is a member of St Angela Merici Pariah in Youngstown, Ohio.
