
Justin Huyck
Justin Huyck is Coordinator of Media Relations for the Roman Catholic Diocese of Youngstown, Ohio. Previously, he served as Pastoral Associate and Director of Adult Faith Formation at St. Michael the Archangel Church in Canton, Ohio. He has also served communities in Albany, NY, Chicago, IL, and Kingston, Ontario. His ministry experience has encompassed a wide spectrum of parish life and pastoral initiatives, including liturgy, RCIA, faith formation across the lifespan, youth and young adult ministries, and ecumenical and interfaith projects.
Justin is a regular speaker, facilitator, and retreat leader with adults and teens, and the author of From Home to Home: Finding Meaning in Mobility and Baptism: Alive in Christ.
He has served on a number of committees and ministry teams for the Diocese of Youngstown, Ohio, as well as nationally, including:
-National Conference for Catechetical Leadership's Board of Directors, Representative Council, and Chair of NCCL’s Product Development Committee
-North American Forum for Small Christian Communities Board
-Diocese of Youngstown’s Council for Catechesis, diocesan evangelization retreat team, and lay ministry formation team
-Lutheran-Catholic Covenant Commission for the Diocese of Youngstown and the Northeast Ohio Lutheran Synod (ELCA)
Justin is a graduate of Cornell University and holds an M.A. in Theology and Liturgy from the Catholic Theological Union in Chicago. He and his wife are the parents of two children.
