Embraced by the Strength of His Weakness

God of mercy,
In your Son Jesus, we see the face of your great love for us.
In his passion, we are embraced by the strength of his weakness.

As we adore and venerate the cross on this day,
Mark our hearts with that same love,
That we may pour our lives out for each other and a broken humanity,
And be renewed by the joy of our salvation.
