Hearts Softened Like Good Soil

Creator God, source of all goodness,
Like a patient gardener, you nurture our world with love.
With loving tenderness, you renew all of creation,
through Jesus the Life-Giver.

On this morning of stillness, as creation awaits new life,
Strengthen us, as followers of Jesus, in the ways of patience,
That our hearts may be softened, like good soil,
for new life to break forth
in our lives, in our church, in our world.
